Most people agree that it is important to help our oceans, but few people realize that what products we use when swimming can harm the very ocean life we love. It is estimated that roughly 14,000 tons of sunscreen enters waterways across the globe every year.
Barrier is a comprehensive line of ocean safe skincare that surfers, lifeguards, swimmers, and other ocean-lovers can use to ensure they protect our sea life and glorious reefs.

The Idea
Approaching this brand, I wanted to create package forms that were just as organic and unique as the ocean reefs. I decided to take up the task of teaching myself to 3D print. Through trial and error, I created the asymmetrical and organic bottle forms that you see in these photos. By fitting all together, the bottles also represent the way that marine life and human life interlock and connect in many ways. We need the reefs, just as much as they need us.
